Welcome to my blog story

ABOUT THE USE OF THIS BLOG

LET ME EXPLAIN THE PURPOSE OF THIS BLOG. WE WANT TO USE THIS BLOG TO WRITE A DIARY OF THE LIFE OF OUR NEWBORN BABY RAFAEL, WHENEVER THERE ARE THINGS TO SAY ABOUT HIM. BECAUSE BLOGS NEED TO BE ACTIVE TO ATTRACT VISITORS, WE WILL ALSO WRITE AN OLD MAN LIFE STORY, WHICH IS THE LIFE STORY OF HIS GRANDFATHER. THIS OLD STORY CAN BE USED TO COMPARE IT WITH THE NEWBORN BABY STORY, YOU SEE TODAY THINGS CHANGE VERY QUICKLY AND IT COULD BE INTERESTING TO SEE THE DIFFERENCE. WE WOULD ALSO LIKE TO PASTE LINKS LIKE BABY SONGS TO MAKE IT MORE BABY FRIENDLY.

The best way how to use this blog, just click on any links that you find in this blog.

We like our planet earth and we would like to keep it healthy forever: But I am a bit worried about this global warming, because we have meetings after meetings, but we don't seem to reach a good solution.

Just another meeting
Dear readers, this is again about global warming, I believe that we all would like to have our say. Anyhow what I would like to say here is that, it seems to me that the world leaders have many meeting and will continue to meet in the hope that one day they will be able to do something about it. So, I am looking forward to see what this next meeting that I am reporting here under could achieve, I hope that they can do something better that other meeting that have happened in the past. Anyhow this is the report and I quote:
The December’s UN climate change Summit (COP 21), is around the corner. On 7-8 December 2015, 196 countries will gather to decide whether or not to commit to a low carbon future in a legally binding way.

It is not a chance that climate negotiations are taking place just a few months after other important negotiations on the post-2015 sustainable development agenda. Without addressing climate change, extreme poverty cannot be eradicated and sustainable development cannot be delivered.

In the energy access space, the development leaders at COP 21 will advocate for further investments to be unlocked to support the development of a low-carbon economy. However, as of today, such investments only target large government-led infrastructure projects.

While this is absolutely needed, in practice it only marginally helps the expansion of energy access in off-grid areas, where most of the world’s poor live (620 million people in sub-Saharan Africa only). Achieving universal access to electricity requires a combination of grid-based and off-grid solutions.

In fact, nearly 60% of the additional generation required to achieve universal electricity access needs to come from off-grid solutions – both stand-alone and mini-grids. This is the domain of small and medium-sized enterprises that use distributed energy technologies. And these are the businesses that GVEP supports.

Like the businesses that we work with, our voice in international debates and meetings, such as the Paris one, can seem rather small. Yet on the ground our impact is tangible: 11.7 million people are enjoying improved access to clean energy due to the growth of these businesses.
With a market-based approach they are delivering energy to unserved and poor communities and collectively they are contributing to the development of a low-carbon economy.
End of report.
Looking at the report, it seems obvious that we all together need to do something positive, in order to improve the climatic situation, so let us keep our finger crossed and hope for a good solution.
This is all for this post, see you in our next post, which will be again about something to do with the climate change that continues to go on.

Mother Nature Reconciliation
WE ALL LOVE MOTHER NATURE
We must love Mother Nature because we are part of her, if we did not love her then we would not be able to love ourselves, because Mother Nature is every living thing, and this includes us most of all.

Help Planet Earth

MOTHER NATURE CHALLENGE
Dear readers, today I have decided to have another go at my preferred subject; well perhaps I should say that it is not exactly my preferred subject; but it is a subject that the entire world should be looking at. In the past I have already written several post about global warming and some people seemed to have some interest in what I wrote, but then I let it go and I have written some other stuff; anyhow, I believe that it could be worth coming back to it and have another go.
Therefore, I have decided to go back to the beginning and review what I have already written in our previous posts; so if it seems that you have already heard from me about it, it is because I am editing my old post and adding something new to them as well, in the hope that my posts bring the right massage to the people. So in the past we started by saying that, we the people of this earth are taking great risks, we are doing so many things that are harming Mother Nature, so, if we are not careful we will soon pay dearly about our mistakes, because we are damaging many natural things whereby mother nature could have been able to make good again the damage we have been doing, if we continue to do that the entire planet earth may end up like a desert.

This is how the whole planet earth could be like in the future.
If we care about our-self and the coming generations we need do something positive to help this harmful situation, don't you agree?

GLOBAL WARMING
Global warming is the name that should make us think hard what we are doing to this planet, we need to pay more attention to everything that harms the natural environment.
You might say that something is being done already, since there will be a meeting of world leaders soon: but I would like to see more interest from the people themselves, after all democratic leaders have to follow the people to get voted in.
So, here is the chance to express your views on this subject, please use it?

THIS BLOG HAS BEEN CREATED TO INVITE MEMBERS OF THE PUBLIC WHO ARE WILLING AND ABLE TO TAKE PART IN USEFUL DISCUSSIONS, WHICH COULD HELP SOLVE FUTURE MAN MADE NATURAL DISASTERS.

We hope that we have started a blog, which should be able to interest all the people on this planet earth. So maybe this is the right way to go, I am very interested about this subject, so, I am going to follow it closely and post many posts, as it is very important for the whole world to take part in discussions about the changes that are happening to our environment. So, let us hope that someone is interested to discuss these issues openly, or at least read about them, so that we may have a feedback from the public. Anyhow we just have to wait and see what happens?
As we have said at the beginning, we must love Mother Nature because we are part of her, if we did not love her then we would not be able to love ourselves, because Mother Nature is every living thing on this planet earth, and this includes us most of all.
But we should never forget to Help Planet Earth

MOTHER NATURE CHALLENGE
Nowadays, we the people of this earth are taking great risks, we are doing so many things that are harming Mother Nature, so, if we are not careful we will soon pay dearly, because we are damaging many things whereby mother nature could have been able to make good again the damage we have done.

This is how the whole planet earth could be like?

After this old  meeting of years ago;
• Lenore Taylor, Copenhagen
• From: The Australian

UNDERLYING tensions between rich and poor nations at the Copenhagen climate negotiations have boiled to the surface with the leaking of a "secret" draft agreement prepared by the Danish host government and a select "circle of commitment" including Kevin Rudd.
The leaked document rocked the United Nations conference as it settled down to its first full day of talks, with developing countries expressing outrage at its contents, and at the fact that it had been developed behind closed doors by the so-called “friends” of the Danish conference chair, Mr Rudd, UN secretary Ban Ki Moon and leaders from other countries including the UK, Sweden, Mexico.
The Danish Government protested that there was no “secret draft for a new Copenhagen Agreement” but rather “many working papers used for testing various positions”.
Privately negotiators were furious that developing nations had resorted to such a “hostile act” because they were nervous about possible outcomes in a final climate deal.
Start of sidebar. Skip to end of sidebar.
End of sidebar. Return to start of sidebar.
But despite the hosts' attempts to hose down the leak, it has ignited tensions that were not expected to spark until the top-level leaders segment of the talks next week.
Despite all the controversy, the draft “Copenhagen Agreement” contains many elements of a strong political deal, although it leaves blank critical emission reduction commitments and the amounts to be paid into new funding for developing countries for final determination.

This is only part of the report.
As we all can see from this it is not going to be an easy task for the world leaders. We can only hope that before the meeting ends they agree on something useful, which could help achieve at least part of the problem?
Anyhow, this is what we are going to say in this post, but in the future we will continue to review and edit our previous post, so that once we have finished updating them, we will be able to continue on this subject and what is happening at the present time.

New way of thinking

Dear readers, it has been a while since I posted in this blog of Mother Nature challenge, but now I would like to resume my activities and write some more articles about these issues; I know that sometimes we the people behave in a strange way and so do I; Anyhow, strange as it may seem, when people have nothing much to say to each other, they talk about the weather, but when it is necessary to talk about the weather, because the weather is causing problems in the entire world, they just keep postponing those discussions indefinitely; the point that I would like to make here is that we need to discuss a lot more about the weather problems; because every time that something terrible happens we want to do something about it, a while ago I started to write this blog, I have always the intention of writing something about the climatic change that is taking place in the world, now because I want to do that, I am looking for news that would serve to highlight this issue. So today I have found in the news this article about this cyclone in the Philippines, here under is a photo that shows some people straggling to save themselves.

 Here under is the report that I found on the internet and I quote;

CABANATUAN, Philippines (AP) — Army, police and civilian volunteers rushed Monday to rescue hundreds of villagers trapped in their flooded homes and on rooftops in a northern Philippine province battered by slow-moving Typhoon Koppu, officials said.
The typhoon blew ashore into northeastern Aurora province early Sunday, leaving at least 11 dead, forcing more than 65,000 villagers from their homes, and leaving nine provinces without electricity. By Monday afternoon, Koppu had weakened into a tropical storm over Ilocos Norte province with winds of 105 kilometers (65 miles) per hour and gusts of up to 135 kph (84 mph).
Several of the affected provinces, led by Nueva Ecija, were inundated by floods that swelled rivers and cascaded down mountains, trapping villagers in their homes, said Nigel Lontoc of the Office of Civil Defense.
"There were people who got trapped by the flood on their roofs, some were rescued already," Vice Mayor Henry Velarde of Nueva Ecija's Jaen town told The Associated Press by telephone, adding that about 80 percent of 27 villages in his farming town of more than 45,000 people were inundated by flood.
When a flooded river swamped the villages, residents scrambled to safety but many failed to save their poultry and farm animals. Out of more than 5,000 ducks, for example, only about 1,000 were saved and many rice crops ready to be harvested in a few weeks turned into a muddy waste, he said.
"Our rice farms looked like it was ran over by a giant flat iron," Velarde said. "All the rice stalks were flattened in one direction."

Hundreds of soldiers, police and volunteers have converged on Nueva Ecija, a landlocked, rice-growing province in the heart of Luzon island, to help villagers whose homes had been flooded, said Lontoc.
Erwin Jacinto, a 37-year-old resident of Nueva Ecija's Santa Rosa town, said the flooding turned his farmland into "nothing but mud."
Jacinto spoke from atop a high bridge where dozens of farmers stayed in the open overnight with their families, and their pigs, goats and chickens.
At least 11 people have died. One man was buried by a landslide while checking his farm on Sunday in the mountain town of Bakun in Benguet province. Two men drowned in Nueva Ecija, while a 14-year-old boy was killed when a tree branch fell on his family's shanty in suburban Quezon city in metropolitan Manila.
Seven people died when a passenger motorboat capsized in bad weather in the central Philippines, but the government's disaster-response agency has not included the deaths in the typhoon toll because the central region was not directly affected by the storm.

President Benigno Aquino III, who flew to Nueva Ecija to check the flooding and distribute food packs in an emergency shelter, said the typhoon's unusually slow speed allowed it to batter the north for about three days instead of just a few hours.
Rain dumped by the typhoon in the north may rampage through rivers late Monday to Tuesday and put at risk about 800 downstream villages, where residents have been urged not to return home. "They think it is safe already to go back to their communities but we are preventing them right now," Aquino told reporters.
Koppu, Japanese for "cup," is the 12th storm this year to hit the Philippines, which averages 20 storms and typhoons each year.
In 2013, Typhoon Haiyan leveled entire towns in the central Philippines and left more than 7,300 people dead or missing.

Associated Press writers Jim Gomez, Teresa Cerojano and Oliver Teves in Manila contributed to this report.

End of Quote;
Anyhow, what I would like to point out here is that we need to keep in mind these world problems that the expert say they arise from global warming, therefore we need to talk about them more often, in the hope that one day we may find a solution.

I believe that I have said enough in this post, so see you in our next post when I find time to write it.

What is climatic change?

What is climatic change?

Here we would like to point out that we have pointed this out a while ago, but today we are going to repeat it, because we feel that very few people seem to know the danger that we are facing.

It seems to me that we still do not know what to do to take care of our planet earth, so these questions arise: What is climate change? What are today's problems? Let us look at them?
-
What are today's problems?
What is climate change?
-
Climate change is the greatest threat facing our planet. Humans are causing climate change, and humans can stop it getting worse. We can keep our planet healthy for future generations by acting on climate change now.
What’s causing the problem?
Humans are causing climate change by adding huge amounts of carbon dioxide (C02) and other greenhouse polluting gases to our atmosphere. The biggest source of greenhouse pollution is burning fossil fuels (like coal and oil) for energy.

Why is the planet warming?
Earth is wrapped in a delicately balanced ‘blanket’ of gases. Like a greenhouse in a garden, this insulating layer traps heat from the sun, and sustains life.
Human activities (like burning coal and oil) are adding huge amounts of greenhouse pollution to the atmosphere. The pollution stays in the atmosphere for many decades. Greenhouse pollution is making Earth’s ‘blanket’ unnaturally thick, and this is heating up the planet. This is commonly called global warming. The heat trap is also causing many unusual and dangerous changes to our climate and weather systems, best described as climate change.

Climate change and you
Australia is particularly vulnerable to climate change – environmentally and economically. We already live on the driest inhabited continent on earth. Climate change is making most of Australia drier. We are already experiencing more severe droughts in the bush, and water shortages in our cities.
Climate change is bad for our economy, and bad for our individual hip-pockets. In 2009, Victoria faced some of the worst Bushfires on record. Professor David Karoly from the University of Melbourne’s School of Earth Sciences discusses how the record heatwaves and prolonged drought prior to the February 2009 bushfires in Victoria could be linked directly to climate change.
We can stop climate change, but only by making major reductions in the amount of greenhouse pollution we create. To cut pollution, we need to drastically change the way we use and produce energy.
Individuals, businesses and governments need to become much more energy efficient and stop wasting energy. And we need to move to clean, renewable sources of energy.
Renewable energy is available now, safe for the environment and good for our economy. By dealing with climate change, we can make Australia a world leader in renewable energy and create thousands of jobs and new exports.
