Now these articles are also going to be posted in other public sites, like this website here called blogger; as you can see this blog is about global warming, but we would like to use this as a general general forum for everything, so it is going to be a mix up of all sorts of issues, as you are going to find out if you follow us. Today we will start with my first hub that I wrote in hubpages.
Welcome to my Hub (1), you are all invited to read about my life story
that will follow with the following articles that I indent to write.
I am welcoming you dear readers, since those who are going to read my
hubs are going to be my friends from now on, so I would like that they feel
welcome. So I feel already that I have a bond with you dear readers, and that
is the reason why I am welcoming you to my Hub Pages with open arms.
Now that I have welcomed you to read my articles; first of all let me
tell you who I am and where I come from, my full name is Francesco Menchise and
I was born in Genzano di Lucania, for those that don’t know where Genzano di
Lucania is, I will tell you it is in Southern Italy.

Now that I have introduced myself, let us state briefly what sort of
articles we are going to write for our readers in Hub Pages: in a way all
articles put together are going to be the story of my life and what I have
learned from it, so, even though today I am in Australia and writing these
articles in English, I am going to start the story of my life from where I was
born; therefore, for a start we are going to take you on a journey to the place
where I was born, and talk about my native town and how I spent my young life
in it and what I did when I was young, then will talk about my emigrating to
Australia and what I did for a living when I came here, and then all the most
important things that I have done in my life, so in a way it is going to be the
story of my life from beginning to the present days; I hope to be able to write
it clear enough for my readers to understand easily. You might say why I want
to write the story of my life? Well I don’t really know, but today seems that
everybody has a story to tell, so I would like to tell you my own story.
Therefore I hope that I will be able to write about a few interesting
things about my life story and you are all welcome to read and enjoy anything
that you find in my hubs interesting, and perhaps sometimes also that is not
going to be very interesting for you, but might have some interesting things
for other people. Anyhow you are also invited to comment on my hubs if you
like, in the hope that by knowing what you would like to hear from me, I could
be able to reply and have a friendly discussion with you, and at the same time
be able to improve my hubs, based on your feedback. So don’t be shy let me hear
what you would like to see written in my life story, in the hope that I can make
them more interesting for you. You see, I believe that it is the duty of any
man that wants to write something to do his best for his/her own readers, apart
the fact that I believe that it is the duty of any human being to write issues
for the benefit of humankind, I am going to write an article within my next hub
called, ‘an old man life story’, an article about, “The duty of any man”, so
that you can see what I mean.

Why I
am writing articles in Hub Pages
The reason why I am writing these articles
in Hub Pages
Now that I have welcomed you to my hubs,
let me say why I am writing my first article in Hub Pages to start with; you
see, I am not sure whether wanting to write has been dormant within me and now
I have become aware of this desire to write; I suppose I am just like everybody
else and I would like to write my own life story; or it might be because of the
many things that I have learned during my life and for this reason today I
wonder what I could do with all those things that I have learned during my
life, as I feel that it would become a waste of my accumulated knowledge if I
don’t use it anymore. So, I have decided to do something about it because, not
only it gives me the chance to tell my own life story, but also because one
should try to remember what one has learned, therefore I am going to write my
life experiences down for myself and my readers, as it may turn out to be
useful one day. Now what I have just said is one reason why I am writing in hub
pages, but there is another reason as well, you see, one of my last experiences
is the following explanation:
You see, I have a few friends and a cousin
that are telling me all about their activities in Hub Pages, at this point of
time they are writing
about religions, which is an interesting subject to discuss and contribute, in
the hope that you may say something useful for all humanity just like what I
would like to do here, of course there are all those beliefs and not beliefs to
discuss and here is their first hub, which I believe I have contributed and

forum, if you
would like to check it out, of course this is their hub even though I have
discussed these religious issues with them many times. Anyhow I don’t want to
go the same way, since they are already covering that; so I have read a few
hubs here and there because I wanted to see how they were like and I believe
that I could contribute something to this Hub Pages site by writing my own hubs
about my life story and also writing general subjects, and perhaps be able to
earn a few dollars if I am lucky, at least they tell you that it could be done.
I am saying this just because I have in
mind to write and publish several hubs that will deal in general subjects,
perhaps I will have to write about things that I have done in life like working
in the building industry and my bricklaying trade, which some people might want
to know a few things about it, not because they need to know what I have been
doing during my life, but because they would like to know how these building
things are done, so I would describe to them how these things are done as a
trade person would do it, at some stage I will also start telling you the story
of my life, which would be the most important side of my hubs for a while when
I have not any other important things to say.
I would like to tell you the story of my
life, because I think that it could be interesting to know and compare my life
happenings with somebody else to see what
we have done during our lives; you see, I am an old man now and I find that the
way that we are living today is very different from the ways life was when I
was young, so I feel some time that I want to tell the younger
generation a story
beginning with, when I was young; perhaps here I have to add that I am just
like my older relatives who sometimes wanted to tell me their story starting
with the words, when I was young. Anyhow I believe that today the difference in
life style could be interesting to the public in general to know, in order to
compare what sort of improvement we have had in the last three quarters of the
last century. Well this is just one way of seeing it, because I believe that
there could be many other ways to use the life story of an old man, which is
indeed going to be the story of my own life, plus a few things borrowed from
our previous generation. I know that these are old stories, and the younger
generation live a different way today, but there might be something in my story
that might interest even the younger generation, you never know. Well I believe
that my articles would be able to highlight the difference, between the way we
live today and the way we used to live in the past.

Some other general writings
Therefore I hope that somehow I would be
able to interest you my readers now and in the future, with my articles about
my life story and other things,
therefore at this very moment I hope that you dear readers still want to
know a bit more about me, so, I am going to tell you this. In the beginning of
this hub I said that I have some of my friends and also one of my cousins
already writing their hubs in Hub Pages, they have asked me to join them but I
am not interested, as I believe that they want to use me to their advantage, so
I have decided to surprise them when they see my first Hub published. So, Hub
Pages, my cousin and his friends here I come to surprise you; at least I hope
it is a surprise, but I think that they already have guessed what I want to
do.
Here I want also to tell you that I am also
on Face book and I am contributing by writing some posts in blogger with my
friends, one of these general blog is called Menfranco general blog at this
address; http://menfranco.blogspot.com I also follow and contribute in groups of
public forum, so I am not completely new to the internet activities of today.
Anyhow, I believe that when my friends see
my first hub they will think that I have gone crazy, just because they wanted
me to help them, and now in a way I am competing with them; they will also be
thinking that I am dreaming an impossible dream when they see my first hub, and
they will thing that I will not be able to fulfil what I am now promising you
dear readers that I am going to write some interesting hubs, so, I am saying to
my friends that only time will tell if I am going to be able to do what I am
promising to do in hub pages.
Anyhow I believe that I will be able to do
what I have to do, because a man has got to do what a man has got to do? It is
only a matter of making up your mind and then you try hard enough to succeed. I
hope you understand me dear readers, as I am sure that some of you might have
been in a similar situation during your life.
Now that I have welcomed you and written my
brief introduction about what I would like to write in my Hub Pages articles;
this opening hub comes to an end and all I have to do is to say to you dear
readers what I will be writing in my next hub; I think that it is only
appropriate that I shall start by telling you about the story of my life,
including what I believe a man has got to do with his own life accumulated
knowledge, since this may become the main theme in my Hub Pages article in the
beginning, and then will see how we go and decide if we have to do something
different, whenever it becomes necessary, like when we are reviewing our
articles we have written.

Dear readers here I would like to point out
that this last article in this hub has been added, when I have reviewed my
hubs, you see, while I was reviewing our hubs I have become aware that I have
written some good hubs already, so we would like that you could check them out.
You see we have written about our life and our life struggles and people seem
to think that it is worth reading, the hub My life

town I came from, and many other hubs, we have also written a few hubs telling
you about bricklaying, and anyone that is not a real bricklayer might find them
helpful, DIY
brickwork, this is one link, but there are several articles talking about
DIY brickwork, readers are advised to look for anything about houses and
building and also some financial issues, like buying your own house, since as
you know I am telling you the story of my life and therefore the knowledge that
I gained in my life.
Anyhow we are writing a few hubs all about
our life and what we have learned from life, therefore we hope that they would
be helpful to our readers and that they enjoy reading them; or at least read
them so that they might be in a better position to understand what is involved,
when they are building or buying their apartment or house, you see everybody
would like to own their own house, because owning a house is very important, as
it helps to live a better and less stressful life.
However here, while I would like to tell you
the story of my life, I have to say that I cannot stop wondering how most
people tell the story of their lives, so I have been checking on the internet
where I found that there are several articles if we look for them anywhere on
line.
This is just one link, but there are many
more to be found. Anyhow I think that I might have said enough in this first
